The ability to use pharmaceutical agents has enabled optometrists to become true primary health care providers. This course includes the use of drugs that are taken by mouth. Clinical cases are used to illustrate indications, mechanisms of action, contraindications, adverse effects, and dosage of these therapeutic agents.
